This facsimile reproduces a manuscript kept in the Kassel Library, the most complete copy of Leonard Baldner’s work, completed in 1666, in which he observes the fauna of the waters and forests around Strasbourg: birds, fish… Baldner, who was a fisherman and curator of waters and forests, is considered a precursor of Alsatian naturalists. Very fine condition.
