Without index, marginal worm work, epidermis, corners dulled, top cap torn, without title-piece. First French edition of the 3rd Decade by Antonio de Herrera y Tordesillas (1559 – 1625), appointed first historiographer of the Indies by Philip II. This decade covers the years 1521 to 1526, the first two having been published in 1660.
