Slight traces of rubbing on boards, oxidation on endpapers. Barbier 826. First edition of this work by Goezmann (or Goetzmann or Goëzman de Thurn) on the Italian wars of Charles VIII, Louis XII and François I. The author studied Law at the University of Paris. The author studied law in Strasbourg and was a lawyer at the Conseil souverain d’Alsace before becoming a member of the Parlement de Paris. Complete with engraved portraits (Charles VIII and Louis XII in volume 1; François I, Charles de Bourbon and Charles V in volume 2, all engraved by Malbeste. A fine copy.
