Complete file on the bookbinder’s trade from one of the eleven volumes of illustrations printed between 1762 and 1782 of “L’Encyclopédie ou Dictionnaire raisonné des sciences, des arts & des métiers, par une Société de Gens de lettres” by Diderot and d’Alembert. Plate I is illustrated with a vignette showing a workshop with carpenters at work. Margins slightly yellowed, small hole in lower margin, no effect on text.
