Jules COIGNET (1798, Paris – 1860, Paris) Original drawing in graphite with white pastel highlights. Circa 1846 Initials lower right. Drawing size: 224 x 307 mm Sheet size: 298 x 381 mm Jules Coignet was trained in historical landscapes by the painter Jean-Victor Bertin, who worked extensively in nature and traveled extensively. This drawing must have been made on the spot during a trip to Switzerland. Slight brown spots on the paper.
