The Abduction of the Sabine women. Thérèse-Eléonore Lingée (1753 – after 1814) after Charles-Nicolas II Cochin (1715-1790). Pencil manner printed in sanguine. Circa 1780. Insolate proof, wetness, some foxing, one marginal epidermure. Frame size: 41 x 49.5 cm. Subject size: 252 x 378 mm. Thérèse-Eléonore Lingée, daughter of the painter Hémery, was an engraver, notably in stipple and pencil manner, and a member of the Académie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture de Marseille.
