A pupil of Jacques-Philippe Lebas in Paris, Noël Le Mire was an active draughtsman and engraver in Rouen and Paris. He was a member of the Académie Impériale et Royale des Arts de Vienne (1768) and the Académie des Sciences, Belles-lettres et Arts de Rouen (1769).
