This book was awarded the Grand Prix Gobert by the Acad\u00e9mie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres in 1854. By Charles Weiss, born in Strasbourg in 1812, died in 1867. Academic and professor of history at the Royal Colleges of Toulouse and Strasbourg and at the Lyc\u00e9e Bonaparte in Paris.
