Frontispiece engraved by Louis Lucas after Th\u00e9venot, 4 hors-texte plates by Rudaux, Ruet after Lemaire, Mongin after Dantan and Champollion after Fouri\u00e9, and 68 vignettes engraved by Michel after Fouri\u00e9, all under serpents. The many illustrations in this volume of the Edition Nationale, the illustrated edition of Hugo’s complete works, evoke the world of childhood with great delicacy. A fine copy.<\/p>\n
