Complete file on the bookbinder’s trade from one of the eleven volumes of illustrations printed between 1762 and 1782 of Diderot and d’Alembert’s “L’Encyclop\u00e9die ou Dictionnaire raisonn\u00e9 des sciences, des arts & des m\u00e9tiers, par une Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de Gens de lettres”. In folio, consisting of a page of explanations of the plates, followed by 7 plates engraved by Benard after drawings by Lucotte. The vignettes show the store where the artisans cast lead (plates I and II) and in the hangar (plate III). The other plates detail the various instruments used and the work carried out. pl.
