Slight spotting on upper cover, upper headband partly worn, otherwise a fine copy. Attributed to Marguerite de Lussan. With an “Extrait de l’histoire de Provence”, selected pieces from the “Trophés de gloire érigés à la valeur de feu M. de Crillon, par ses concitoyens” and a “Histoire de la Maison Balbe de Quiers” in fine. Louis de Berton, known as the brave Crillon, captain and brother-in-arms of Henri IV, was colonel general of the French infantry and knight of the Holy Spirit.
